Summer Holiday Activities for Children and Young People, deadline 24 April (4.30pm)

From Shipley Area Coordinator's Office:

"Shipley Area Committee is inviting applications from suitably qualified organisations for funding to provide holiday activities for children and young people this summer (2009) and for 2010.

This follows a successful scheme run last summer, when over 3000 children and young people from across the Shipley Constituency took part in a range of activities. Activities provided ranged from a "Guitar Heroes" project to football camps and took place in a range of venues including local parks and community centres.

Shipley Area Committee is keen to offer funding to organisations that can deliver a variety of activities for young people at locations across the 6 Wards of the Shipley Constitutency. Applications are invited for specific activities in summer 2009 and a general declaration of interest to deliver in 2010. Contracts will initially be awarded for 2009 only, with funding for 2010 being subject to agreement on budgets later this year. Organisations considering an application will need to show that appropriate child protection, insurances etc are in place before funding is agreed."

The deadline for applications is 24 April (4.30pm)
