Bradford West Area Committee, Senior Support Fund, deadline 20 February (12 noon)

Bradford West Area Committee (through Area Initiative Funding) and CNet (through Grassroots Grants) are working in partnership to make funding available for activities, events or equipment that benefit older people. Voluntary and community groups that either operate in or benefit people who live in the Bradford West Constituency area can apply for funding of up to 10,000. Bradford West includes Clayton & Fairweather Green, Heaton, Little Horton, Toller, Thornton & Allerton and City wards.

Groups must meet the eligibility criteria of both funders, CNet Grassroots grants and Bradford West Area Committee Area Initiative funding which include:

  • Voluntary and community groups must have a constitution or other governing document
  • The group's annual income must be under 20,000 per annum, averaged over the last 3 years
  • The funding must benefit older people
  • The funded activities, events or equipment must be completed - purchased and delivered by 31st December 2009
  • The funders will jointly fund projects up to 10,000, however the maximum Grassroots Grant any organisation can receive is 5,000. If the group applying has already received a Grassroots Grant of this amount the maximum it can receive through this scheme is 5,000
  • The group must have been in existence for at least 12 months
