Integrated Communities Innovation Fund, deadline 20 August 2018 (11.45pm)

11 July 2018

"In partnership with Sport England, the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government is calling for applications to the new Integrated Communities Innovation Fund."

"The Fund will help drive forward the proposals to tackle the key causes of poor integration set out in the government’s Integrated Communities Strategy green paper, by offering support to projects using innovative approaches to tackle the barriers to integration and build integrated communities. The Fund will build our understanding about what works to support integration in different community contexts."

Expressions of interest are sought from organisations with innovative ideas to encourage integration.

  • Projects should be able to be scaled up to reach a minimum of 300 participants within the funded period.
  • Project beneficiaries must be in England.
  • There is no set minimum or maximum amount of funding. Applications will be assessed on value for money.

Funding is for revenue costs only. Property and fixed assets are not eligible. However, for sport-based integration projects, equipment up to the value of £10,000 will be deemed revenue expenditure.

Who can apply?

Organisations must be legally constituted and have been formed at least two years ago.

Can we apply for ESOL classes?

No.

The fund will only fund English language support as a secondary outcome. For example, "projects which bring people together through social action, cultural or sport activity but also include opportunities for participants to improve their English".
